Brittney Klingl

Hello! My name is Brittney Klingl, and I teach 6th grade Language Arts at Skyview Middle School in the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District. As a lifelong lover of reading and writing, I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism. I worked in public relations, communication, and social media marketing for a variety of organizations including the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Parks and Recreation, Nutcase Helmets, Strider Bikes, Coolibar Sun Protective Clothing, Episcopal Homes, Minneapolis Institute of Art, and Globe University. However, after working for 4 years in the field, I realized I wanted to pursue a career in teaching. In 2018, I graduated from the secondary Communication Arts & Literature teacher licensure program at the University of St. Thomas, and received a Master of Arts degree in education. Between my work as an AVID tutor and Language Arts teacher, I have worked with students in all grades ranging from 6-12 and look forward to expanding my reach and sharing my experiences as a Summer Academy teacher.
