I’m a Tech Ninja Master!Class # 43 Grades: 4- 5
This summer you will become a TECH NINJA and have an App-Mazing time in this TECH-NOVATION class!!! After earning your Tech Ninja iPad License, we will learn how to use various tech tools to produce APP SMASHING movies, FLY DRONES using Swift Playground and Tynker, design your own app, code/create “OzoLands” with Ozobots and Dash Bots, and remix Scratch Makey Makey programs. We will also explore creating series and parallel circuits using Snap Circuits and Little Bits. As a Tech Ninja you will take field trips to The Bakken Museum and The Works Museum, explore faraway places using virtual reality and also have a 3M Visiting Wizard teach us more about innovation and creativity! Be ready to problem solve, collaborate, and think creatively with the other Tech Ninjas in this class! (Oh…also be ready to have a lot of FUN!) ☺

Stacey Whitwood, a 2nd grade teacher and Technology Coach in the Roseville School District, is also a National Board Certified Teacher and member of the ISD 623 Innovation Team. She has a passion for creating project based learning experiences that integrate technology along with endless amounts of creativity. Although this is her 1st year teaching for Summer Academy she has 21 years of teaching experience in her district.
Yeng Chang is an educator, researcher, and learner, who has worked in various roles involving teaching and technology integration (e.g. instructional technology coach, Learning Technologies community faculty at the University of Minnesota, coordinator of the Teacher Educator Technology Integration initiative). Yeng started honing her craft of teaching and learning with technology 15 years ago as a social studies teacher. Her passion for the use of technology to support student learning led her to pursue and earn her PhD in Learning Technologies. Currently, Yeng serves as the Technology Integration Specialist in Independent School District 622.
