I Survived…Using STEMClass # 31 Grades: 3- 4
Have you read and enjoyed reading any of the I Survived series of books? Or have you been curious about how you might survive an unimaginable disaster, if so, come and join us for an exciting and breathtaking exploration of surviving an extreme weather event and an uncertain expedition to Mars.
We will investigate and learn about extreme weather conditions and life on Mars. Students will use their imagination and creativity to come up with solutions to survive these extreme situations. This class will have a number of hands on STEM activities.
To enhance our learning, we will be taking a field trip to the MN History Center and the MN Science Museum.

Kevin Koch received his Master’s and Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. He also has his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University. Kevin was a child psychologist for 13 years before returning to education as a first and second grade classroom teacher for the last four years. He is currently a Gifted and Talented Specialist and STEM Specialist at Park Terrace Elementary.
